Terms of service
These terms cover your use of Throttle (throttle.toys). By using the site you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose; where a term is ambiguous, we will read it the way a reasonable user would.
1. What Throttle is
Throttle is an index of vehicle listings published on dealers' own public websites, plus the history of how those listings changed over time. We are not a party to any sale. We do not hold inventory, take deposits, broker transactions or verify the condition of any machine.
2. Accuracy
Listing data is collected automatically from third-party websites and is provided as-is. Prices, specifications, availability and identity numbers may be wrong, stale, or mis-parsed. Derived figures — days on market, price history, sold status, deal scores — are our own estimates produced from what we observed, not statements of fact from the seller. Always confirm with the dealer before acting on anything you read here.

3. Accounts
You need an account to save listings, save searches or receive alerts. Keep your sign-in link and email secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend an account that abuses the service, scrapes it, or attempts to circumvent rate limits or paid features.
4. Throttle+
Throttle+ is a paid subscription providing access to historical and analytical features. Recurring plans renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and we do not pro-rate partial periods. The lifetime plan is a one-time payment that grants access for as long as Throttle operates, and transfers if the service changes hands. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
If a paid feature is materially broken for an extended period, email us and we will sort it out — refund, credit or extension, whichever is fairer.
5. Your listings
If you list your own machine on Throttle, you confirm you have the right to sell it and that your description is accurate. You keep ownership of what you post and grant us a licence to display it on Throttle. We may remove a listing that is fraudulent, illegal, duplicated or misrepresented.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, mirror or bulk-download Throttle. Ask us for API access instead.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data or our infrastructure.
- Do not use Throttle to harass a seller, a dealer or anyone else.
- Do not resell or redistribute our derived data without written permission.
7. Dealers
Dealers can have their site excluded from crawling and their listings removed at any time by emailing us from a domain address — see ThrottleBot. We action removals within 24 hours. Photos are hotlinked from your servers and never re-hosted, so removing an image at source removes it here.
8. Liability
Throttle is provided without warranty. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its data, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the preceding twelve months.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect, and the date above always reflects the current version.
